La Lupita Taco & Mezcal is a Los Cabos institution with four locations across San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, and a US expansion underway (Dallas, June 2026). Set in a colorful, string-lit courtyard in the Gallery District, the San José location is known for handmade tortillas pressed and cooked fresh to order, a trompo al pastor rotating at the back, and a gourmet taco menu spanning duck with mole, miso fish, wagyu beef, cheese-crust pastor, La Gringa, and Crunchy Volcano. The four-salsa lineup (mild avocado-cilantro through extra-hot) arrives with every table. The mezcal program is extensive with flights and individual pours. Live bands play nightly. Even Acre's kitchen team is known to come here on their nights off.
